A DC Metro Weightlifting Competition

Started in 2011 with a few dozen lifters, Capital City Open has grown to become one of the mid-Atlantic’s largest local weightlifting competitions. We feature five sessions of two platforms in a one-day contest.

Our focus is on high quality athlete experience to prepare them for rigors of a USAW national meet. This means following national level protocols and making the highest levels of technical officiating available. We feel it’s our duty prepare our athletes for national meets.
